If your are looking for a reference concentrating, and covering the fascinating inter war years and the political relations pre-war between Germany and Russia, leading up to Operation Barbarossa and war on the the Eastern Front, then this is a very good book, with excellent sources and notes. Some of the topics cover the Bolshevik Revolution, The Lorcarno Treaties, The Rise of Nazism, The Molotov Ribbentrop Pact.
